Can Brazilian Keratin Treatment be done over Japanese straightening?
Yes. You can do the treatment over any kind of straightening.
Can you do the Brazilian Keratin Treatment after coloring?
Yes. In fact, the result will be better! (In some cases it slightly lighten the hair)
Is Keratin Treatment a relaxer?
No. Keratin treatment is a treatment based on a keratin solution that naturally straightens your hair. It does not relax the bonds of the hair.
Can you do the Brazilian keratin treatment on top of relaxed hair?
Yes. You can do the Brazilian Keratin Treatment over any previously relaxed hair.
Can you do the treatment on previously chemically treated hair?
Yes. You can do Brazilian Keratin Treatment over any chemically treated hair.
Can you do the Brazilian Keratin Treatment on highlighted hair?
Yes. You can even receive Brazilian Keratin Treatment immediately after getting highlights.
Can you do Brazilian Keratin Treatment on virgin hair?
Yes. But it won’t last as long as on previously-colored or chemically-treated hair.
Should I color my hair before or after Brazilian Keratin Treatment?
Either way works. although we recommend to do the color prior to receiving the treatment.
How long after Brazilian Keratin Treatment should I wait before I can wash my hair?
0 to 3 Days. Depending on the product we do for you, and also depends on the results you want to achieve. It could be anywhere from NO Down Time to 3 Full days.
Can I wear a ponytail or tie my hair?
It’s Better to avoid if you can. Ponytail can leave a mark on your hair, If you really have to, do a loose ponytail, you can use a silky scarf.
How long will the treatment stay on my hair?
Depends on the product we use for you, and on your hair type and condition. Typically it lasts about 3-4 months (Many times it lasts longer, but after 3-4 months you will have couple of inches of roots, so frizz will be shown again on top.
Do I have to use a special Shampoo or other products after getting Brazilian Keratin Treatment?
Yes. Sodium Chloride and Sulfate Free shampoo is necessary to keep the Keratin on your hair for a long time. Sodium chloride and sulfate will brake down the keratin from your hair quickly.
Do I just receive touch-ups at my next visit, or do you re-treat the whole head?
The whole head. Since the Brazilian Keratin Treatment gradually fades off your hair, we have to re-treat the whole head and not just touch up the roots.
How often can I get the Brazilian Keratin Treatment done?
Technically; every day. You can get it done whenever you want, You don’t have to wait. Normally it lasts about 4 months, so you don’t have to get it done before that.
